Inflation

Inflation is the "explanation" that the universe is homogeneous and isotropic because the universe expanded faster than the speed of light, even though nothing can travel faster than the speed of light. No known source for this deus ex machina is yet known despite the very many candidate fields being inspected, including: natural inflation, chaotic inflation, rydberg inflation, extra natural inflation, string inflations, Randall-Sundrum inflation, original bubble inflation, and whatever else anybody can possibly think of. Naturally, inflation is widely accepted as having occurred by the "scientific" community. The search continues.
